Hi Sterling,
I'm glad you like our blog, and thank you so much for taking the time to visit. I'm not personally familiar with the brand Aiquille ALpine, but your recommendation is well received! Nothing beats real world product testing. I wasn't able to find it at some of the retailers in the U.S. Perhaps it's not available in the States yet? Keeping my eye out for them though....

I would always recommend Aiguille Alpine rucksacks, there great! No fancy stuff but indistuctable, mine has been everywhere with me and never let me down. Very waterproof, hasn't rotted despite the jungles best attempts and no rips or tares, even after many hours rolling around in buses/trains/planes.

Very simple design (depending on type) just one large compartment and a under lid zip pocket. The shape of the compartment is the same at top and bottom, making the rucksack easier to pack than more modern designs where the top is thinner than the bottom. Also almost nothing to fail, one zip, two clips and a draw cord.

If your going on a long trip, and want something light and robust then I can't recommend them enough! Also comparatively reasonably priced.

Loving the blog, keep it up!
